Hello, I'm Allan, I've been a professional developer for almost 20 years, more than that if you count my interest in programming BASIC from a young age. I used to find achieving competent levels in programming with Pascal and Java to be always, just slightly, unobtainable - something that only a truly top class developer could master in the Microsoft's and IBM's corporations of the late 90's.
Then at my final year at university, the Web 2.0 boom started and I was hooked at this re-imagined, bootstrapped and imperfect world of development for the rest of us (TM)!
We'll see where I am in a year of commitment to this blog.
